Role-Playing Games, who has never played one?

You are the character of a game in which there is a scenario/quests.
Your avatar's skills depend on how you built it!

Now with the internet technology a new form of RPG has evolved MMORPG(Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) and is the new interest of young persons!

Although i'm not an expert in that genre of game but i know some title(i think).
~Final Fantasy Series, how could i have forget this although i have almost played none!(such a baka, i know)
~Zelda Series, this little courageous elf-like character!
~Valkyrie Profile, the history is a little from Norse Mythology(i think), i like that game!
~Diablo 1 and 2, for those who like fighting evil force!
~GTA Vice City and San Andreas, those are more american story and less importance is given to the characters build-up!

But listed below, are some other titles

Does MapleStory counts, it's a Korean game which is very simple and very cute monsters are found in there, you can buy clothes and weapons, even pets are available~!

The name Valkyrie Profile suggests it's based on Scandinavian legends, but I've seen a Valkyrie Profile picture on the net...and there was a samurai on it! Shocked

As for which RPGs I've played, well mostly FF series. I've also had a go at a Grand Theft Auto game (at a friend of mine) and personally, I didn't like it... The game is quite a waste as most of the time the gamer just has to run around, kill people, steal, whack police forces and run for his life, then start over again... That's bad stuff, especially when considering that lots of 10-13 years old kids play GTA... poor souls ...

Ahaha, well I have the Valkyrie Profile on PS1, I liked the game, but since my PSone is a bit broken, it's been a long time since I touched it...And indeed, there's a samurai in it...

oohh...Thanks for the confirmation...Is the game really based on Norse muthology (which would make Jun - the samurai look out of place) or is it just the title...?

Hummm...the game IS based on Norse mythology.Anyone here has tried the Shadow Hearts series on PS2???It's really good...and exhilarating.There's also the Shin Magami Tensei series which is mostly based on devils and other stuff like eating your comrades(there's also Dante from DMC in one of these games), but I personally don't really like this series(too many random battles,endless dungeons,but cool scenarios though)....

There is also Shining Tears~ The control is a bit difficult, I am still not used to it, and haven't devoted much time to it. But now there is the anime of this game coming out, I think I'll watch the anime first before I play the game, although it comes after the game. Legaia is also a nice game~the combination buttons sometimes are really annoying, but once you get used to it, it's ok~

I still haven't finished both of these games, neither had I finished FFX nor FFXII~~
